The Conantur is a machinma created with the Xbox 360 and the video game Halo 4. The story follows the crew on-board the ship ‘The Conantur’ as they venture out into the far reaches of space in search of a new world.
Currently Season 1 has been completed with plans to complete 5 other seasons.
The main difference with this and other Halo 4 machinma is that I wanted to create a cinematic experience utilizing post production effects with the use of After Effects. Green screen was also used heavily with the built-in green screen level.
The biggest draw back was filming all scenes and then getting voice actors to record their lines. For future, I think I’ll be trying to get the voice actors to record their lines first and then match ‘head bops’ in time with the voice recordings.
